What kind of approach do you use?

We use a body-mind-spirit approach as unique as you are. There is no true one-size-fits-all method of losing weight that works for everyone, but everyone's plan needs to include mindset shifts, evidence-based nutrition changes, movement, and stress relief techniques. We find out your unique weight gain triggers and help you overcome them.

Why is the program only 12 weeks?

The Embrace You 12-Week Breakthrough Journey is a proven jumpstart to your lifelong weight loss and wellness journey. We know that a journey like this takes a lifetime, but we will give you the tools and resources you need to break through the barriers that have kept you stuck.

Is this a diet program?

At Embrace You we focus on total lifestyle change, so that encompasses nutrition, movement, mental and spiritual wellness, and more. We provide you with the tools you need for lifelong wellness and lasting weight loss.

Can I Use my insurance to cover the cost of the program?

In order to offer you the time and attention your weight and wellness breakthrough takes, Embrace You doesn't currently accept commercial insurance. However, we are able to write you a letter of medical necessity to receive compensation from your FSA (Flexible Spending Account).

Do you provide medical services?

If you are in the DC Metro area, Dr. Sylvia can provide weight-related medical care. However, Dr. Sylvia's coaching services are available globally.

How quickly will I lose weight?

At Embrace You, we focus on healthy weight loss, which is considered 1-2 pounds per week or 8-12 pounds per month. Results vary based on your background and life experiences. The range of weight lost during the program is 11-30 lbs.

Weight loss is not always the goal. Some members of Embrace You choose to focus on other wellness goals, and we support that. 

What happens at the end of the 12 weeks?

You can choose to Continue to Embrace You™ with monthly one-on-one and group support sessions.
