Walk Empowered,
Live W.E.L.L.

As a proud Walk With a Doc partner, Embrace You Weight & Wellness hosts monthly W.E.L.L. (Walk, Eat, Live Lighter) Walks that bring whole-person wellness to life—body, mind, and spirit. Our walks are designed to empower participants—especially those in the Black community—to take steps toward better health in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Each walk kicks off with a short, empowering health talk led by Dr. Sylvia Gonsahn-Bollie, an obesity physician-researcher, bestselling author, and advocate for health equity, or other trusted local health professionals. We’ve proudly partnered with organizations like GirlTrek to expand our impact, and our most recent season included 87 participants, who collectively walked over 400 miles.

Whether you’re just starting your journey or already walking strong, you’re invited to move at your own pace on the beautiful Sligo Creek Trail. We meet at Dale Drive Neighborhood Park, 125 Dale Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20910, near Piney Branch Road.

This season, we’re also offering a special community workshop guided by Embrace You: Your Body-Mind-Spirit Cookbook & Wellness Journal.

No cost. No pressure. Just real steps toward living lighter in body, mind, and spirit—together.
